 Welcome, Raiders. While some may enjoy it and others may not, PvP is an important part of the experience of this extract shooter. We will cover topics such as the best PvP weapon, tactics, strategies, and skills for different types of encounters.  This section will cover the majority of weapons, if they are not all. I'll also rank them according to their PvP usefulness. It's okay if you don't agree because of your personal preferences or because you're not used to certain guns. This ranking is based on personal experience, but it is not that different from other tier lists you may see on YouTube or other websites. Let's begin with the Assault Rifles.


 


 Bettina, even after the latest patch nerfed its rate of firing, you now have a fully automatic AR that uses heavy ammunition. Do I have to say anything else? It's a Ferro that is fully automatic. The damage per shot is lower than Ferro, but its DPS is higher. It's only downside is that it can be a little difficult to make. You need a plan to make it. It's also not cheap to produce. If you lose it you will be a little disappointed.


 Tempest is a fully automatic version of Arpeggio. Both use medium ammo so they deal great damage. It can be hard to find, much like Bettina. Once you have it, you will be able to dominate in PvP even if your weapons aren't the best. It's just too much of an advantage.


 Arpeggio is easy to find, but it only fires three rounds at a time. It's still an upgrade over the Rattler. It's great for any distance if you can learn how to use it.


 The Rattler is the easiest to craft. It's part of the free loadouts and uses medium ammo. It also has full auto. It's a decent gun for PvP, but it will only be good until it runs out of ammo. It's good for PvP practice. It's enough damage to take out a player with one magazine. You will also learn patience and positioning when you have to reload.


 Kettle is a semi-auto mode that's easy to use and control. Its limited ammo supply and long reload time make it inferior to Stitcher.


 What did you expect, then? When it comes to ARs I tend to stick with the Arpeggio and Rattler, both of which are amazing weapons, especially when upgraded and equipped with some attachments.


 


 Sub-Machine guns


 


 Bobcat: Bobcat, technically speaking, is just an improved version of Stitcher. It fires faster and has zero recoil. If you can make them, then use them. This thing will shred your opponents in close quarters on maps such as Stella Montis. You won't need to reload it.


 This is my favorite Stitcher. It's easy to upgrade to level 4 and then outfit it with simple attachments that turn it into a killer machine on Stella Montis. It is cheap, fully automatic, low recoil and has a fast rate of firing.


 Next, we have shotguns. They're also great for close-range combat, and can be used to clear annoying small ARC opponents. Just as difficult as ranking SMGs, it's hard to rate shotguns. There are only two, one of which is easily crafted, while the other is more expensive but better. So, there is no real difference between the two.


 


 Vulcano is a semi-auto with magazine reload. It's a great weapon to have, especially when you panic because enemies are too close. Vulcano's DPS is much higher than Il Toro because of the way it functions.


 Il Toro - your go-to option for close-range combat. This is a classic pump action shotgun. It's a classic pump-action shotgun. Light Shield can two-shot a player and you do not even need to press a single button to aim.


 In terms of ARC Raiders' PvP weapons ranking, pistols are by far the most versatile category, both in terms what they can do and how you use them. Let's start.


 


 Many people consider Anvil to be a better alternative than Ferro. It has the same damage per shot, but 2.5x more DPS. The DPS increases even more if you upgrade to level 4 thanks to its increased rate of firing. It still takes skill to make sure your shots land. Anvil's pistols are top-notch.


 Venator – a meta-gun that has been recently nerfed to hell, a gun that was never meant to be this OP. It shoots two shots at a time with medium ammo. Its DPS is much higher than Anvil's, which is insane. The crafting and getting of one is a bit difficult, and you still need to be skilled to hit the target. It's also regularly nerfed so it only takes second place in the PvP rankings for best pistols.


 This is the typical pistol. It's semi-automatic and uses light ammunition, so it isn't very effective in PvP. You should also prefer Stitcher.


 Hairpin is useless in PvP but useful for dealing with security devices such as cameras, ticks and other security gadgets that can reveal your locati0n and cause you to be obstructed in PvP. It is not enough for Hairpin to occupy one of the two weapon slots.


 Battle rifles were designed for medium-long distance combat. They can be difficult to use in small maps such as Stella Montis and Buried City. There are always places on every map where you will only be doing long-range combat.


 


 Ferro is the best weapon for beginners that can deal a lot of damage. It's the closest you can get to a real sniper in this category. It's a quirky weapon, but it is used by both new players and experienced players. You should get used to it because you can do anything with it until your opponents get in your face.


 Renegade, the badass Renegade, is a breather after Ferro's almost infinitely slower rate of fire. It's easy to use, even though it is a lever action rifle. The DPS is much higher than ARs such as Tempest or Arpeggio even though all of them use medium ammo. In the right hands, it can be a weapon of gods.


 Good luck obtaining that gun. It was added in the latest patch and almost nobody has it. It's an energy battle rifle with two beams of energy that can be fired simultaneously. Theoretically, it can shred shields and health bars. It's unlikely that anyone would bring it into a PvP battle.


 Torrente is the only light machine gun available in the game. You can put it between Arpeggio and Tempest in the AR category if you wish. This is a good choice for PvP, especially when it comes to close-range combat. It's hard to find and craft. So, you can't afford to lose it so easily. Torrente is a great way to win a 3v3 battle.


 


 Sniper Rifles are a good example.


 


 Osprey is the only true sniper with an optical scope. It uses medium damage, but it deals more damage in each shot than Ferro. It's weird, but that's what it is. These are perfect for sharpshooters on large maps like Blue Gate, Spaceport and Dam. These haven't been used in Buried city and Stella Montis, for obvious reasons.


 Jupiter - Just like the newly added Aphelion gun, you won't see this gun used much in PvP, or even at all. This is because it takes a lot of time to craft and find a blueprint.


 It's the same for legendary weapons like Hullcracker and Equalizer. Last one doesn't do any damage at all to players. Equalizer, on the other hand, is a mini gun that, in theory should be able shred players. But no one uses it.


 


 ARC Raiders Best PvP Gear


 In continuation to the previous section, i ranked some other gear which can be helpful in PvP. In most cases, the harder something is to obtain, the better. Here's my list for the best PvP augments in ARC Raiders.


 


 Combat Mk. 3 (Aggressive)


 The ARC Raiders' best PvP augment is this. The cost is high, but you get everything important in PvP - strong shield support and extra grenade capability, as well as passive health regeneration. There is enough space in the backpack and Quick Use slots for a PvP loadout. Cost is a drawback, and losing it is painful. However, the PvP benefit is too great to ignore. This is one of the best PvP augmentations in the game.


 Combat Mk. 3 (Flanking)


 This is the ideal augment for those who use SMGs, pistols, or shotguns. This augment gives you more Quick Use slots and more space in your backpack, as well as more utility slots and faster weapon equip speeds for pistols and handcannons. This boost makes Anvil, Venator and other finishers much more powerful. The Aggressive version is more expensive but less terrifying to lose because it's used in lighter and faster builds.


 Tactical Mk. 3 (Defensive)


 Shield Rechargers provide pure PvP value by allowing you to use them while running. It changes the time to kill and allows you to survive fights that other players would have died in. This kit has good Quick-Use slots, strong mobility and enough backpack space for a standard PvP set. The crafting cost is high but the augment pays for itself easily in long battles or trios.


 Tactical Mk. 2


 This is a cheaper and more accessible version of Tactical Tree that offers real PvP advantages. It unlocks slots for utility, provides solid Quick Use slots and can drop smoke when shields are broken, saving you from close combat. Losing it is much less painful than losing Mk. It's one of the most practical PvP augments available.


 Combat Mk. 2


 A great mid-tier PvP pick. It supports shields that are stronger than those looting augments, has a decent Quick Use slot, passive health regen and a utility. It's cheap enough to use in PvP on almost every run, and powerful enough to make a big difference. This is especially true for AR/DMR players that don't require massive utility setups.


 Tactical Mk. 3 (Healing)


 This is a niche augment that can be used by players who need constant healing. The revive cloud and healing slots boost makes it a good choice for backline players and long battles. This is because it's expensive and not as universally useful.


 Looting Mk. 3 (Cautious)


 It's surprisingly strong in PvP due to the auto-adrenaline when breaking shields and five Quick Use slots. The adrenaline effect is very valuable to aggressive and solo players, as it can prevent bad fights. It is not a combat enhancer and does not increase shields. It's cheaper than Mk. Losing it won't hurt as much.


 Combat Mk. 1


 This augment is a good choice for beginners, as it has a strong shield and enough Quick Use slots to use in basic PvP. It's not ideal, but it is better than many lower-tier Tactical and Looting options. It is cheap and easy to replace. This makes it an ideal practice augment.


 3 (Survivor) 3 (Survivor)


 It's more of a PvE enhancement, but you can benefit from the large backpack and weight limits if you want to carry extra traps, ammo or consumables. The augment offers some survival perks, but not enough to beat the combat and tactical augments.


 Tactical Mk. 1


 Nothing special about the basic tactical slots. It is useful for those who are looking for more consumables and grenades in the early game, but its low weight capacity and limited survivability make it less suitable for PvP later on.


 Looting Mk. 2


 It's great for PvE, thanks to the trinket slots. But it offers little in terms of PvP survival. It's a good PvP option if loot is more important than combat, but the Combat and Tactical trees are better.


 Looting Mk. 1


 It is only for beginners and players who do not use combat enhancements. The game offers enough looting capacity to get you through the early stages, but nothing for PvP survival.


 Free Loadout Enhancement - The best way to gain experience in PvP, and get some loot when you win without risking your own items.


 Shields are the next most important thing to consider after selecting your augment. In ARC Raiders, shields don't block all damage until they are broken. The shields only reduce the damage by a certain percentage. This means that your health will always take chip damage. The best shields in ARC Raiders aren't the ones that have the highest number. The best shield for PvP, however, is one that you can craft and recharge in-fight with confidence, without feeling bad about losing. It also has to do with how quickly different shield chargers recharge. Light shields can be recharged in a single use. Medium and heavy shields take more time, or require additional items. Remember this when you read the rankings below.


 


 Medium Shield


 The best PvP shield is one that strikes the perfect balance of survivability and mobility. It also has a fast recharge rate. The shield is powerful enough to withstand Bettina, Tempest and Bobcat bursts but it doesn't slow down your movement as much as a Heavy Shield. It works with any recharger, and only requires two quick-use charges or one surge shield charge. It's also affordable, so losing it won't ruin the day. Anyone with an augment that's decent can use it. The Medium Shield is a practical standard for PvP at all levels.


 Light Shield


 The best PvP Shield for new players, budget loads, solo ambushers and aggressive SMG/shotgun build. The shield can be fully recharged with just one shield recharger. This is great for close-range combat. It also maintains its full movement speed without any slowdown. It has the lowest capacity of all three shields, but these disadvantages aren't important if you want to play fast. Light Shields can be easily crafted and are safe to use in any PvP battle without having to worry about cost. Light Shields are the best option for many players on smaller maps.


 Heavy Shield


 On paper, it appears to be the best defensive shield. It has the highest mitigation, maximum capacity, and great durability. In PvP, it is the least-used shield due to its low crafting cost and reduced movement speed. The shield takes too long for it to charge unless you have expensive surge reloaders. Losing one is also painful. Heavy shields are useful in coordinated triangular fights, but they can also be used to slow down players on maps with long ranges. Heavy Shield is ranked low because PvP can be fast in ARC Raiders and involves a lot of repositioning.


 We must start by ranking the items that restore health, because they are the ones that determine whether or not you will win the second battle after the first. ARC Raiders PvP is almost always a series of back-to-back fights. Therefore, anything that allows you to heal quickly enough to continue fighting will be worth more than slower heals or expensive ones. Early on, heal-over-time gear is common. However, their value quickly drops once you master the art of using cover and the timing for fight resets. Here is a ranking of quick-use items that are restorative for PvP.


 


 Vita Shot


 It is the strongest raw healing for PvP, as it restores 50HP in one burst. This gives you a complete fight reset with just one use. It can be combined with medium shield rechargers or stims to quickly re-enter a fight. It takes a long time to use, but if you are safe for 2-3 seconds it's the fastest way to get back to 100% in ARC Raiders. It is expensive, but it's worth it because of its reliability.


 Shield Rechargeable


 The best shield restorer for all shields except heavy. Light Shields: Full restore. Medium Shield: half restore. It is easy to use, has a short duration, and allows you to return immediately to combat. ARC PvP favors players that can quickly replenish their shield after a duels, and this item is most effective for that purpose. This item is cheap, reliable and must be in every loadout.


 Herbal Bandage


 This is the best early-game and mid-game healer. It heals 35 HP in 10 seconds. It has a quick use time and stacks well with Light Shield resets. It is cheap, easy to make, and provides enough healing for close-range attacks when used behind cover. This is the best healer for players who do not want to spend a lot of money on heals.


 Sterilized Bandage


 This "premium herbal bandage" heals 50 HP with the same quick use animation. This is a costly item that you don't want to lose too often. It provides nearly the same healing total as Vita Shot, in a staggered, safer form, which can be used during a fight. It becomes very valuable on large maps or in trios. Cost is the main reason for its lower ranking.


 Surge Shield Rechargeable


 The item restores both a Medium Shield, and a Heavy Shield to full health. However, the lengthy use time can be risky during active battles. This item is best used as a trio after your team has wiped out one squad, and you expect another to push. The cost is moderate, the usefulness is dependent on situation, and it's long animation prevents it from being an elite PvP item. It's still the only way to restore a Medium Shield using one item.


 Bandage


 This is a cheap option for beginners that has early PvP value. Heals up to 20 HP with a quick use animation. The healing total is not enough once players begin using Tempest or Bettina. It's still decent, if nothing else is available. This is especially true in early loadouts or budget loads.


 Vita Spray


 The healing rate is insane (10 HP per sec), but it's price for PvP is outrageous and the requirement to channel makes it almost impossible to use during real combat. This is only useful in long-range battles or when your team has a defensive building. It is too expensive and difficult to use for it to be ranked higher.


 Defibrillator


 Useful for trios but useless in solos Rejuvenates teammates quickly, but offers little healing outside of revives. This item is worth having if you play 3-man PvP, but it's not the best for combat. It's rated low because the item heals you only when you are downed and not while in active PvP.


 Let's now talk about 'nades. Grenades may not be something you want to take on every raid but you need to know what grenades to choose if you're going to have a full loadout. This list contains the best grenades for ARC Raiders:


 


 Heavy Fuze Grenade


 This is the best grenade to use in real PvP. It has a high blast radius and deals high damage. It is useful in any scenario where you want to force a player into cover or out of a structure. It is reliable, cheap to make, and fast enough to punish.


 Shrapnel Grenade


 The cheaper option that does the same damage. The radius and timing of the explosion are good for indoor combat. This is a great alternative to Heavy Fuze Grenades when they are too expensive.


 Blaze Grenade


 The fire zone is a great way to force players to move, even though the damage done over time will be low. To win a shootout, you can throw one into a stairwell or container, or into a doorway. Great for breaking defensive holds.


 Smoke Grenade


 It doesn't do any damage but is incredibly helpful. You can use blocking a viewline to revive a teammate or escape. It also allows you to reposition yourself, push through an open area, and reposition safely. Smoke grenades, especially when used in groups, can be a powerful weapon on large maps.


 Li'l Smoke Grenade


 Smoke that is smaller and cheaper. It has a small radius, but still blocks vision for a short time to allow you to heal or disengage. It's not as powerful as a full smoke grenade but it can be useful for quick, low-cost line-of-sight breaks.


 Light Impact Grenade


 It's cheap, fast, and easy to use. It can be used to break a Light Shield or interrupt a healing. This is not the best fighting tool but it makes a good backup grenade.


 Snap Blast Grenade


 It looks like it will be a powerful weapon, but its delay and sticky mechanics make it unreliable for fast-paced PvP. The players usually move before the explosion. You can use it for PvE, or to throw into a predictable position before pushing.


 Trailblazer


 This grenade has too many inconsistent effects in PvP. Gas trail and delayed explosive are better suited to ARC machines rather than players. It's fun to play around with but you shouldn't rely on it during gunfights.


 Trigger 'Nade


 It's too slow to be a grenade and it's easy to avoid. It's almost never a good idea to detonate a grenade before the player reacts. Once you use it as a trap you will realize that there are better traps. Throwables have a very low PvP worth.
